The Footstool — Nocturnal Meadow | The Grand Interior

This footstool is upholstered in a pattern that captures that hour — a dense, all-over botanical composition on a ground of deep ebony, where fungi, wildflowers, seed heads, and branching stems emerge in muted terracotta, antique gold, and forest green. Unlike the formal discipline of the Botanical Stripe, the Nocturnal Meadow has no hierarchy, no border, no centre — only the quiet abundance of a field observed at the edge of night.

The pattern wraps the cushion continuously on all four sides, so the footstool reads as a single, unified object from every angle — a piece of furniture that rewards the kind of attention usually reserved for paintings.
